How to Stand Out on Social Media
Social media is hot!! There lots of opinions about it - some people love it and some people hate it...either way, social media is definitely a way to share your message, build your audience, and grow your business.
When you do it right!!!
Today I want to share the “5 C’s”! These are my top 5 tips for standing out on social media so it works in your favor!
Courage - You have to push past fears, insecurities, and what-ifs. You have to decide sharing your message is more important that the “what if I fail?” possibility. So what if you fail? You start again, get focused, and keep going. Have the courage to show up!
Content - Create amazing and helpful content. It has to match your core business topics and tie into your offers. There has to be a path, a journey, that you take your audience through with your content. We’ve all heard “content is queen”, right? But it’s only true if your content rocks!! Don’t be afraid to give away the goods, let them know why you’re the leader and expert to follow and work with.
Consistency - Duh? You hear this all the time. You have to show up consistently. This sets you apart from the rest. If you were dating someone, you would expect calls, texts, and dates regularly. Same for your tribe! You’re building relationships and it requires you to consistently be there for them. They will know and like you from your content...consistency locks in the trust.
Connect - I just mentioned that you’re building relationships. This happens through connection. Share your story, behind the scenes, mistakes/lessons, how you got to where you are now, what you stand for and against, what matters to you the most. Connect with your audience on a real life level. Makes such a difference.
Call to Action - Please!! Always have a next step for your audience to do. Share a story and ask a questions. Teach a lesson and tell them to download the free checklist. Give crazy good value and make an offer. These are just 3 examples of a call to action. Making offers should happen once in awhile, don’t overdo it. But always ask them to engage. Super important.
These are the basics my friends. Without these key elements in your social media game, you won’t get very far. And the #1 thing that MUST shine through each of these tips and everything you do on social media...BE AUTHENTIC!!!!
